Ask anyone in Bangalore where to go on a Friday evening, and you’ll get the same three answers: a loud, crowded microbrewery on 100 Feet Road where you can’t hear yourself think, a pub in Koramangala with a two-hour wait at the door, or a sprawling outdoor food festival where you'll spend more time hunting for parking than sitting down.
Bangalore used to be a city of slow filter coffee, green canopies, quiet garden clubs, and house parties that lasted until midnight.
Marzi is bringing that unhurried, warm social culture back. We curate small gatherings across Bangalore’s leafiest neighbourhoods for Generation Evergreen (50+) people who still want an active social life, great retro music, and good food, but prefer rooms where you can actually sit comfortably and talk.
What Happens at a Marzi Gathering?
Instead of massive crowds where everyone stays in their own tight groups, our events are kept intentionally small, usually between 12 and 25 people.
Take our Sunday terrace socials in Koramangala or Indiranagar. They start around 5:00 PM, just as the afternoon heat dies down and that cool, signature Bangalore breeze kicks in. You don't need to bring a group or know anyone in the room. Our host meets you near the entrance, introduces you around, and makes sure you're settled with a drink before you even have to think about small talk.
Before long, people are sharing old college stories, debating their favourite 70s rock bands, or arguing over who makes the best filter coffee in South Bangalore. There are no awkward icebreaker games or forced speeches, but just an easy, free-flowing evening that wraps up early enough for you to drive home on empty roads.

Different Ways to Step Out With Us
Sing Without the Stage Fright
Our singing evenings aren't about polished performances or talent contests. We book private, cozy dining spaces in Indiranagar and Koramangala where the room is strictly ours. You'll hear everything from Hemant Kumar and Asha Bhosle to ABBA and The Beatles. Sing solo, join a duet, or just hum along from your chair with a glass in hand. Explore upcoming dates for karaoke in Bangalore.
Catch the Evening Breeze (Sundowners)
If you’ve ever wondered what is sundowner, it’s Bangalore’s best-kept social habit: gathering on an open terrace between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. You get the best of the city's weather, light bites, and great company, and you're back home before the late-night traffic hits the main roads.
Mid-Week Conversations & Table Games
For those who prefer daylight outings, we host afternoon tea socials, low-key board games, and badminton mornings in HSR Layout and Jayanagar. It’s a easy way to break up the week without committing to a late night.
Built Around Bangalore's Neighbourhoods
In this city, distance isn't measured in kilometres; it's measured in traffic signals. Driving from Jayanagar to Indiranagar on a weekday evening can test anyone's patience.
That’s why Marzi isn't anchored in one single place. We host events across four primary neighbourhood hubs, selecting spots with easy step-free access, proper seating, and reliable parking nearby:
Indiranagar & Defence Colony: Quiet, tree-lined lanes, heritage bungalow cafes, and breezy rooftop lounges.
Koramangala: Central, vibrant, and packed with warm food spots away from the main commercial strips.
HSR Layout: Wide roads, quiet creative studios, and relaxed garden venues ideal for afternoon discussions.
Jayanagar & JP Nagar: Traditional South Bangalore charm, spacious venues, and a slower, nostalgic pace.

Exploring Bangalore at Your Own Pace
When you’re not at a Marzi meetup, Bangalore is full of quiet, beautiful daytime moments if you know how to dodge the crowds:
Dawn at Cubbon Park: Walk past the bamboo groves around 6:30 AM while the park is silent and air is crisp, then walk over to an old-school darshini for piping hot idlis and filter coffee.
Morning at NGMA (Palace Road): The National Gallery of Modern Art sits inside a gorgeous old mansion surrounded by giant heritage trees. It’s quiet, cool, fully air-conditioned, and has a serene courtyard café where you can sit with a book for hours.
Afternoon Matinee at Ranga Shankara: Head to JP Nagar for a 3:30 PM play, then linger in the shaded courtyard with their famous hot gingerbread tea and sabudana vadas.
Sunday Walks through Malleshwaram: Explore the quiet residential side streets of 8th Main, marvel at old ancestral homes, and pick up fresh jasmine flowers from the street vendors.
Thinking of Coming Alone?
Almost everyone hesitates before clicking "book" for the first time. The most common worry we hear is: "What if everyone already knows each other and I'm left sitting by myself?"
Here's the honest truth: more than half of the people at any Marzi event walked in solo the first time they attended.
Our hosts are specifically there to bridge that gap. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by name, introduced to a couple of friendly people who are already settled at a table, and pulled right into an ongoing conversation. By the time the food arrives, the initial hesitation is completely gone.
